Do you have Any Domains that you Wouldn’t Sell?
I was asked by a colleague of mine the other day (who knows about my domain moonlighting) if I had any domains I wouldn’t sell. At first I said yes, there are a couple of domains in my portfolio I will not be selling as I have grand development plans for them.
After thinking about this for a little while I changed my answer to no! I would sell each and every one of my names if the price was right (I’m not talking silly money either – just a good profit.)
Sure I might have plans to build nice sites but looking at things realistically I’m probably only going to have time to develop one or two sites well and the others will just sit there gathering dust.
It’s quite easy for us to fall in love with some of our names but it’s also important to remember why we got into this business in the first place. To make money and turn a profit on our investments.
So next time a great offer comes in on your favourite name, don’t just dismiss it, Instead think of your name for what it is – an investment that you have made a nice return on. As until we actually monetize or sell our names they aren’t worth a thing.

Your 100% right James - We are all here to make money and as long as the offers are a good price its crazy not to sell!
I have sold three names this month netting a total $,$$$ Profit not huge but still profit and they are all hand reg domains!
Regards,
Robbie
I think I would never sell a couple domains.. One would be My Own Name(JamieZoch.com). Who knows what somebody would do with it and since my name is known on the “internet” that could spell bad news and also a big risk.
Generics etc, yep they are for sale
Congratulations on your sales Robbie. I’m also experiencing a tick up in the sale of my hand regs, also x,xxx amounts. People seem to be avoiding (what i consider) my better names.
Jamie - i think you’re right - best to keep hold of Jamie Zoch.com - you ever thought of developing it?
I agree with you James, i’ll sell any name i have, domains come and go, and like you said we’re in this business to make money
